Fashion can change the world

On the eve of my 36th birthday I  was contemplating what I've accomplished with my time on earth. I'm not famous... yet. Nor have I made any grand contributions for the world to remember me. I have however enjoyed every day and taken in all the little pleasures of life. So as I stare blatantly at my coming middle age years, I am happy.

It is so easy to get tied down in the little aggravations life presents us everyday and forget to enjoy what we do have.  I know I am constantly reminding myself that in the grand scheme of things my problems are minor and inconsequential, though they seem huge at the time. In the end, I think the constant reminder is what keeps me happy and able to deal with anything that comes my way.

Fashion and style are, in the grand scheme of things, inconsequential. Why are so many billions of dollars and hours spent on this industry that doesn't affect anything? But it does! This industry is the life blood of so many because it can change the way a person feels about herself in an instant. Everyone has those favored outfits that make you feel like a star the moment you put it on. You hold your head higher, stand taller, and walk with a little more attitude.  This is one of mine.

Fashion can also have the opposite affect.  A bad outfit can make you feel miserable. You will have a harder time enjoying what your doing, you'll walk hunched over, and bow your head more. Now I know it isn't the end of the world to have a bad day (whether your wearing a bad outfit or not), but it is the world to you.

I dress for me. I love people coming up to me and telling me I look great, but I also love the way I feel from the moment I put the clothes on. From your silky, flirty undergarments to your favorite pair of jean or blouse, dress for yourself. Make sure the clothes fit you well and you love what you put on, it may change the your world.
